History

The history of the law firm Van Boven & Van der Bruggen goes back to 1933 when René J. van Boven -- the son of a Roermond civil law notary -- was added to the then small bar of the district Roermond. A few years later -- in 1941 -- Hein van der Bruggen started his Roermond legal practice at his uncles firm, Frans Nederveen.

It took untill January 1, 1984 before both practices merged to "Van Boven & Van der Bruggen Advocaten".  In that parnership participated also the "juniors" René van Boven en Hein van der Bruggen, who in 1973 and 1975 joined the law firm of their fathers. The firm then was a six man firm René van Boven jr left the firm in 1990 to make carreer in the judicature. In 1994 the aqcuisition of the law firm of  Bart van ’t Grunewold took place. Bart van ’t Grunewold, had also recently taken over his fathers law firm. In 1997 Octave van Crugten -- who was at that time quite a long time ago admitted to the Bar -- joined Van Boven & Van der Bruggen.
